Sympathies message

  1. I met James in 68 he was recording for CBC at Stratford between the fall of 68 to 75 when he moved to Vancouver we were friends in Toronto. later James and I lived in the same apartment building on Broughton Street in Vancouver. We would often dine together and listen to music. James had an amazing sound system — and we often exchanged silly gifts — I got him his autographed Julia Child cook book one year for Christmas. For those who have CBC records in their collection you will note that James was the recording engineer on so many of them. James often recorded Glenn Gould in the Toronto days. It is difficult to walk through Studio One without thinking of James —
