With sad hearts the family announce Jean’s unexpected passing at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on November 5th, 2017 at the age of 83.
Jean was born in Linton, NB to Wndell Yeomans Jardine and Charlotte Thelma Bradley who owned and operated the general store in Hardwood Ridge. One of four children, she married Ted Cochrane of Marysville, MB in 1952 and relocated to Ottawa in 1970.
Loving mother of Linda Grafton (Ken) and Paul Cochrane. Cherished grandmother of Jeffrey Shipley (Dawn), Carla Shipley (Andrei Clarke) and Heather Shipley (Peter Cameron). Trusted friend to great-grandchildren Darryn and Riley Clark. Beloved sister of Edith Purdy (Rober), Robert (Colleen), the late Paul, and sister-in-law of Sandi. Her loss is keenly felt by all, including her nieces, nephews, and many friends in her church community and elsewhere.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 13th, 2017 at Calvary Christian Reformed Church, with Pastor Pieter Hereema officiating. In Memoriam donations to the Canadian Cancer Society appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Kelly Funeral Home, 1255 Walkley Rd., Ottawa, ON
