RICHIBUCTO, NB – It is with great sadness that the
family announces the passing of Yvon Gionet 66, of Richibucto at the
Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital Center in Moncton on
Thursday, Feburary 16, 2017. Born in Rexton, he was the son
of the late Simon Gionet and late Yvonne (Robichaud)
Gionet.
Yvon will be sadly missed by his two sisters, Anne Marie
Robichaud (Joseph) of Richibucto, Simonne Gionet of Rexton; one
brother, Fernand Gionet (Eva) of St. Ignace; brother-in-law, Paul
Mazerolle (late Andrea) of Irishtown and also his nieces and
nephews; Renaud, Mathieu, Nathalie, Julien, Jean-Marc,
Edmée, Daniel and Isabelle that were very important to
him.
Besides his parents, Yvon was predeceased by one sister,
Andrea and one great nephew, Francis.
Visitation will be held at Thompson`s Funeral Home in
Richibucto on Tuesday from 2:00 pm until departure for the
funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February
21, 2017 at 4:00 pm, St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church,
Richibucto. In Yvon`s memory, donations to the charity
of the donor`s choice or an act of kindness would be appreciated
by the family. Special thank you to the doctors and staff in
the Intensive Care Unit at the Dumont Hospital for the excellent care
they provided to Yvon and also to his special neighbor, Junior
Vautour. Arrangements are in care of Thompson`s Funeral
Home Richibucto (523-4252).
