William passed away peacefully on Monday, February 6, 2017, at Stratford General Hospital, in his 76th year.
Beloved husband of the late Luella (nee Moylan) Murphy. Loving father of Karen of London, Kevin (Sherry) of Seaforth and Janet (Todd) Lichty of Wellesley. Lovingly remembered by his two grandchildren, Emma and Justin Lichty. Predeceased by his parents, John and Lucy (nee Burke) Murphy; his brother Joseph Murphy and his brother-in-law Donald Moylan. He is survived by in-laws Catherine and Janos Janossy of Walkerton; Rita Moylan of RR#5 Seaforth; Sister Jean Moylan (CSJ) of London; Gordon and Kate Moylan of St Marys and Ellen Murphy of Seaforth.
Visitation will be held at McGlynn Family Funeral Home, 87 Goderich St. W., Seaforth, 519-527-1390, on Thursday, February 9th, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. (with Parish Prayers at 8:45 p.m.). Funeral Mass of Christian Burial led by Fr. Clare Coleman will be held at St. James Catholic Church, 22 Victoria St., Seaforth, on Friday, February 10, 2017, at 11 a.m. Interment will take place in St. Columban Catholic Cemetery, followed by a reception at the Seaforth Legion, Branch 156.
