April 7, 1938- November 27, 2017
Bill faced his long struggle with C.O.P.D. with courage, dignity and strength. He lost his fight peacefully on Monday, November. 27, 2017 at Juravinksi Hospital. He will be deeply missed and forever loved by Carrie, his wife and life partner for over 57 years, his wonderful children Kelly and her husband Bruce McKenna of Burlington and Scott McGinnis and his wife Cathy Seamen-McGinnis of Ottawa.Predeceased by his infant daughter Dana Lynn. Bill was an extremely proud, loving and adored Papa to Dillon McKenna (Katherine), Jocelyn McKenna (Philippe), Emma and Sarah McGinnis. He will be remembered by his sister Barbara MacDonald (Bud) of Huntsville and brother-in-law Edward Berryhill (Kathy) of London. Bill enjoyed a long, happy retirement after 38 years at Stelco. He spent time travelling, golfing and “shooting the breeze” with his long-time friends and making new friends throughout his lifetime. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to a Celebration of Life at Dodsworth & Brown funeral home Ancaster Chapel ( 378 Wilson St. E) on Monday December 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. A time of fellowship and refreshment to follow. If so desired donations to the Firestone Institute for Respiratory Health or and children’s charity would be appreciated.
