It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of William (Bill) Loshney on November 27th, 2017 in his 88th year.
Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife Anne (2008), Grandson Jeff (2002) and his siblings Lena, Mary, Mike, Anne, Peter, Katie and Albert. Bill was born in 1929 in Brooksby, Saskatchewan to Mary & Nick Loshney. Much of Bill’s youth was spent working on the family farm and homestead with his 9 siblings. In 1950, Bill married Anne Billick and made their family home on a farm in Armstrong. Bill was a logging truck driver for the Armstrong Saw Mill and then later owned his own trucking business hauling logs for 25 years. Once retired, Bill spent much time on his passion for woodworking. He created picture frames, tables, benches, chairs, windmills and potato bins which he sold at the Armstrong Farmers Market for many years. Gardening vegetables, growing flowers, and travelling south with the RV were some of the many things Bill and Anne enjoyed doing together. Those that new Bill knew his love for a good game of cards and conversation with family and friends were some of his happiest times.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff of Pleasant Valley Manor and Dr. JP Viljoen for their compassionate and kind-hearted care of Bill.
