Obituary for William Donald Woodman “Bill”
William Donald Woodman
“Bill”
1944 – 2017
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing or our father, William Donald Woodman, on Friday, April 14, 2017 at the age of 73 years.
Bill will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Candiss (Ron), son Willy (Tammy), grandchildren Aaron, Haily, Morgan, Ty and Elle, sister Georgina (Herb), brothers Pat (Rianne) and Donny (Deanne), brothers-in-law Richard and Tony, sister-in-law Hazel and several extended family and friends.
Bill was born on January 16, 1944 in Calgary, Alberta to Charlotte “Ruth” and Don Woodman. In 1976, he settled in Baynes Lake, BC, where he worked at Galloway Lumber. Bill was happiest when surrounded by his family and friends and was an avid hockey fan who always cheered the loudest for the Calgary Flames. Most of all he was a generous, kind and loving father, brother and friend.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, brothers Douglas and Wayne and nephew Don. At Bill’s request there will be a service at a later date. Our family would like to thank the staff at East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook and the Tom Uphill Manor in Fernie for their care of Bill and their kindness. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
