KAINE, William David
1931 – 2017
Bill passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017, at the age of 86 years. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Katherine (Broome) Kaine; daughters Dianne (Douglas) and Sheryl; son Brian (Sandra); grandsons Logan and Jared, all of Calgary; sister Lydia Kaine of Fredericton, NB. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Rev. David C. Kaine and L. Beatrice (Simms) Kaine, and sister Jean Kaine.
Bill was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick. He attended the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton and Mt. Allison University, Sackville, NB (BSc 1953). Bill came to Calgary in 1964 to continue his career as an investment advisor with Nesbitt Thomson, Richardson Greenshields, and RBC Dominion Securities. He contributed to the wider investment community by serving on the Board of Governors and the Listing Committee of the Alberta Stock Exchange. Bill is a charter member of Richmond Hill Baptist Church and served on various boards and committees within the Baptist denomination in New Brunswick and Calgary.
A Memorial Service will be held at Richmond Hill Baptist Church (7251 Sierra Morena Blvd. SW, Calgary) on Friday, December 1 at 1:00 PM. Remembrances may be made to the Benevolent Fund, Richmond Hill Baptist Church.
