Moxsom William “Bill” Alexander – Age 76 of Halifax passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017. Born in the family homestead on Hardwood Lands farm in Hants County August 22, 1940. Predeceased by his parents Arnold and Ester Moxsom. He is survived by his wife Sharron (Clarke) Moxsom of 54 years; two daughters, Louise (Robert) Mullane of Westphal, and Catherine (Malcolm) Musgrove of Quebec. Sisters Elizabeth (Robert) Crawford of Dartmouth, Diane Dickie of Elmsdale, Helen (Cecil) Dixon of Enfield. Brothers George (Nora) of Hardwood Lands, and Gordon (Karen) of Hardwood Lands, and many nieces and nephews. Three granddaughters Maria, Katrina, Lily and one grandson Marcus. He loved them dearly. He retired in 1998 after 38 years as commercial lines underwriter in the insurance industry. Volunteered at Ross Road Elementary and Humber Park from 2002 to 2006. Was a Superintendent of 421 Larry Utech Blvd from 2012 to 2016. His passion in life was carpentry. He was past warden at St. Francis By The Lakes church where he also had served on various committees. He enjoyed bowling, curling, camping, and spending time with his family. Visitation will be held on Tuesday February 7th from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Atlantic funeral home on Sackville Drive. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday February 8th at 2 pm at St. Francis By The Lakes on First Lake Drive in Lower Sackville. Rev. Mark Kingsbury officiating. Interment will take place at a later date at Oakridge Memorial Gardens, Lower Sackville. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to his beloved church, St. Francis By The Lakes.
