Obituary for William Bernard Mundy
MUNDY, William Bernard – William passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 in his 75th year. Beloved husband of the late Arlene (nee Emmerson) (October 13, 2013). Cherished father of Michael Mundy (Louise) and Terri Zezela (Jamie). Proud grandfather of Jamie, D.J., Daniel, Andrew, Aiden and Chloe. Dear brother of Jim Mundy (late Norma) and Nancy Fox (Doug). Survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Harry and Ethel Mundy, brother Ron and sisters Lois and Faith. William was a Firefighter with the City of Welland for 30 years. He loved keeping busy and was a Contractor for A1 Flooring right up until his health prevented him from continuing. William was a avid fan of all sports including golf, hockey and Sunday afternoon football. He was also a member of the Free Masons. Above all, his greatest passion and joy in life was his family and his friends. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the H.L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Saturday, October 14th from 1 – 3 p.m. A memorial service to honour William’s life will begin at 3 p.m. with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery to follow. The family then invites friends and family to join them as they continue to celebrate William’s life at Trappers Sports Bar, 579 King Street, Welland from 5:30 – 8 p.m.
