Heffley: Wilfred Gordon, age 83, of Swift Current, SK passed away April 6, 2017 at his home. At Wilf’s request there was no formal service. Wilf is survived by his sister Irene Simison of Sherwood Park, AB.; Norma Heffley; daughters Myrna Heffley and Jenette (Michael) Toms; grandchildren; Ryan Heffley (Jennifer Cederholm), Brody Potter (Randi Cornelson), Austin Potter (Lauren Eastabrooks), Mason Potter (Jessica Schmidt); great grandchild Payton and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents David and Julia Heffley; seven siblings, Henry, Alex, David, Dave, Clarence, Alvin and Emma. Wilf was born on January 17, 1934 in Rush Lake. He attended school in Rush Lake and was united in marriage to Norma Marion Jensen on January 13, 1961 in Swift Current. They separated in 1977 but always remained friends. Wilf was a self employed painter. He loved sports and since he could no longer participate in them, he watched them faithfully on TV. He liked to socialize with his friends at Heritage Towers. Most of all, he loved and cherished his family and he will be sadly missed by them. A special thanks to Michael for being Dad’s rock and never more then a phone call away, always helping Dad. In Wilf’s memory, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 1738 Quebec Ave, Unit 26, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 1V9. Warren’s Funeral Home were entrusted with the arrangements.
