Wilfred George Volk of Heisler District passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the age of 83 years.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Caroline; children Robert (Val) of Heisler, and Noreen (Kelly) Zimmer of Camrose; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers Ed (Josephine) of Daysland, Ralph (Janice) of Camrose, Donald (Evelyn) of Edmonton, Arnold (Geraldine) of Edmonton; and sisters Sister Margaret Volk of Ontario, and Carol (Jerry) Ryan of St. Albert.
Wilfred was predeceased by his son Douglas, sister Helen Roth, and parents Michael and Margaret.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 21, 2017 from St. Martin Roman Catholic Church, Heisler with Rev. Carlos Nunez as celebrant. Inurnment will take place in the St. Martin Roman Catholic Church Cemetery.
If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Daysland and District Aging in Place Foundation, or to the Daysland Hospital Foundation.
