Whitmore, Elsie May (nee Ingram) – peacefully at Hastings Manor on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late Amos Whitmore. Loving mother of Marilyn (Don) Vance of Corbyville and Murray Whitmore of Belleville. Cherished grandmother of Lane (Moira) Vance, LeeAnne Vance (Livio Poropat), Jason Whitmore and Jessica (Phil) Wilkins. Great grandmother of Tyler Vance (Lauren), Emily Vance, Zoe Vance Poropat, Phillip Wilkins and Everett Wilkins. Elsie is survived by her sisters, Bernice (Bob) Ogilvie, Fern Landon (Roger) and Verna Campbell (Bill) and by her sisters-in-law Evelyn Ingram and Marjorie Hunter. She is predeceased by her parents Albert and Laura (nee Vader) Ingram and by her brothers, Henry, Roy, Edwin, Gerald, Bill and Carl Ingram. She is fondly remembered by several nieces, nephews and extended family. The family will receive friends at the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, 30 Moira Street West (613-968-2273) on Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at the Quinte Alliance Church (373 Bridge St. West, Belleville) on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation at the church from noon until the time of service. If desired, Memorial Donations to Hastings Manor Auxiliary would be appreciated by the family.
