Wayne Wilbert Humphreys – 2017

HUMPHREYS, Wayne – It is with heavy hearts the family wishes to announce the death of Wayne Humphreys at Pembroke Regional Hospital on Tuesday, March 21st, 2017 in his 70th year. He passed away peacefully with daughter Cindy by his side.
Wayne Humphreys of Pembroke, leaves behind his beautiful wife Sylvia of almost 48 years. Beloved father of daughter Cindy (Jim) and son Travis. He was the proudest poppa of grandchildren Jesse, Bryanna and Riley. Overjoyed great-grandfather of Kobe. He also leaves behind loving brothers and sister Linda (Peter), Gary (Kim) and Glen. Cherished uncle to many many nieces and nephews. Son of late Ken Humphreys and Lillian Humphreys-Lockwood. He will be missed dearly by the family and many close friends, Sens fans, and acquaintances that he has made over the years.
At Wayne’s request, cremation has taken place and no service will be held. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Lucky Project (www.facebook.com/pembrokeferalcatrescue/ or www.theluckyproject.ca/) would be appreciated. Online donations/condolences are available at www.mdbfuneralhome.com.
“Not how did he die, but how did he live?
Not what did he gain, but what did he give?
These are the units to measure the worth
Of a man as a man, regardless of birth.
Not, what was his church, nor what was his creed? But had he befriended those really in need?
Was he ever ready, with word of good cheer,
To bring back a smile, to banish a tear?
Not what did the sketch in the newspaper say,
But how many were sorry when he passed away.” – unknown
