With great sadness the family of Wayne Peter Bear announce that he passed away on December 21, 2016 at age 57. Wayne was born on December 20, 1959 to Antoine and Margaret Bear.
The wake service for Wayne commenced at 6:00PM on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the Big River First Nation Band Hall. The funeral service began at 11:00AM on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at the Big River First Natiion Band Hall with the elders offficiating. Interment followed at the Big River First Nation river cemetery.
Wayne is lovingly remembered by his wife, Delores Bear (nee: Netmaker); his children: Joanne Bear, Vanessa NetmakerDaryl Netmaker, Wayne( Mac) Rabbitskin, Tyler Rabbitskin, Joey Rabbitskin, Corrina Rabbitskin (Darrin), Ryan Chief, Cholena Lachance and Ryan Lachance as well as numerous grandchildren and numerous other relatives.
He is also remembered by his siblings: Maryanne Bear (Martin Netmaker), Grace Bear, Gloria Bear (Tom), Sugil Lewis, Doris Bear, Janet Bear (Fred Lachance), James Bear, Peter Bear (Valery), and Mervin Bear (Donna Lachance).
Wayne is predeceased by: his parents, Margaret and Antoine Bear; his brothers and sister: Bob Rainey, Gary Bear, Sonya bear; his son Waylon Bear; his grandmother, Alice Bear and numerous aunts and uncles.
Special acknowledgement: Allan Bear, Jerry Netmaker “Lapas”, Harry Knife, Thomas Knife, Sharon Bear, Lorette Dreaver, Dennis Bear and Ronald Bear.
Pallbearers were: Jerry Bear Jr., Louie Netmaker, Clarence Bear, Harry Bear, Hubert Netmaker and Melvin G. Bear.
