Wayne Joseph Mann of Newmarket, Ontario passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 31, 2016 in his 72nd year. Loving husband of Nancy for 30 years. Beloved father of Wade (Brenda), Jason (Shauna), Sarah (Treavor) and Ashley (Shane). Proud grandpa of Bailey, Thomas, Logan, Jayden, Jacob, Rory, Lucas, Oliver, Danica and Alexandra. Son-in-law to Glenn and Dorothy Phillips of Newmarket and Margaret Adams of Ottawa. Brother to Caroline (Dave) and Peter (Michelle). Nephew to Lucille. Wayne was predeceased by parents Alexander and Martha, sister Faye, brother Dwight (Glenora), his uncle Leo and mother-in-law Dorothy McLean. He will be missed by his former spouse and friend Melody, his surrogate family Cat and Ella and their children Jamie, Jayden and Jason and by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Wayne was born in Esterhazy, Saskatchewan but spent most of his life in Ontario. He graduated from Devry and worked in insurance for many years before moving onto Teti Bakery for 26 years. His passions in life were spending time with family, going fishing and enjoying nature. He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father and friend. A celebration of Wayne’s life will be held at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket on Wednesday, January 4 at 1 p.m. with visitation beginning at 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or SickKids Hospital Foundation.
