Wayne Buttimer

It is with sadness, the
family announces the passing of Wayne Buttimer, husband of the late
Mary (Hussey) Buttimer, of Whelton Dr., Bathurst, which occurred
suddenly at his residence on Wednesday January 25, 2017 at the age of
81.
Born in Bathurst, he was the
son of the late Allie and Olive (Comeau)
Buttimer.
He worked as a machinist at
Consolidated Bathurst for over 40 years and was a member of the
International Association of Machinists. Wayne had a passion
and knowledge of trains and also enjoyed working on his model
trains.
He is survived by three
daughters:
Karen (Stephen) of
Beresford,
Kimberly (Michel) of
Moncton, and
Tammy (Bill) of Leamington,
ON.
Five
grandchildren: Vanessa, Jennifer, Katherine, Ian and
Erin.
One brother:
Donald (Pauline) of
Bathurst.
Visitation will be held on
Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Elhatton Funeral Home
(www.elhatton.com), 187 St. George St, Bathurst. Funeral
Mass will be celebrated on Monday (January 30, 2017) morning at 11 am
from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave. Donations in memory
of Wayne may be made to a charity of the donor’s
choice.
