At Hospice Simcoe on Saturday March 25th, 2017 in her 55th year. Wanda Benedict beloved wife of the late Albert John Short. Loving mother of Tara Lynn Thompson (Mark). Adopted mother of Bobbi-Lyn Petherick. Loving grandmother of Tanner, Ashlee, Michael, Jakeb-Ray and Nathan. Remembered by her stepchildren Lisa Medley-Short (Brent), Abbie Short (Teanna), Sara Short and Josh Short. Daughter of the late Florence and Harold Benedict. Dear sister of Melville Benedict (Lorraine), Gloria Mahoney, Marcella Verbrugge (Lorne), Lila Mannix (David), Josephine Waite, Harold (Ben) Benedict, Helen Benedict (Craig) and the late Florence Joliceour, Adele Waite, Sylvia and Cindy Benedict. Cherished best friend of Karen Short. Remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends
A celebration of Wanda`s life will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home- 38 James Street E. Orillia on Sunday April 2nd from 1 to 3 p.m. Words of tribute remembering Wanda will be held at 1:30 p.m. Memorial donations can be made to charity of your choice.
