Peacefully at Kelso Villa in Owen Sound, on Monday, January 23rd, 2017. William Wallace Penner, of Owen Sound, at the age of 102 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Jean Penner (nee MacIntyre). Loving father of Catherine Penner, John Penner and his wife, Suzanne and Carolyn Wiley and her husband, Tom, all of Owen Sound. Proud grandfather of Meghan, Matthew, Lauren (Rob), Christi (Craig) and great-grandfather of John-Robert and Sophie. Wallace will be sadly missed by his sister-in-law, Lonnie Penner, of Brantford and his nephew, Leslie Penner and his wife, Betty, of Chatham. Predeceased by his parents, Leslie and Elizabeth Penner; his siblings, Alec, Earl and Garfield Penner, Joy (Elmer) Tucker and Merrill (Frances) Penner. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the kindness and support of the wonderful staff at Kelso Villa.
Friends may call at the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Monday evening from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Private Funeral Service for Wallace Penner will be in the Funeral Home Chapel, on Tuesday, January 31st, 2017 with Rev. Heather McCarrel officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Residential Hospice of Grey Bruce as an expression of sympathy.
