Obituary of Vivian Ashley
ASHLEY, Vivian Deloris – age 88 of Enfield, passed away October 21, 2017 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Della (Hurshman) Hare.
Family was everything to her. She loved her family, enjoyed going to her sons’ sports events and never missed a game. She cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Vivian enjoyed life, appreciated the little things like the beauty of the outdoors, having a glass of wine, or going for a drive. She was always friendly and kind.
She worked for Sears in Halifax for over 25 years. Vivian adored her little dog Sasha.
She is survived by children, Bruce (Sharon), ON; Kevin (Patti), Enfield; Sharon (Marc) Bragg, Enfield; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; four sisters and two brothers; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew; son, Perry Ashley and a daughter in infancy, four brothers and one sister.
A gathering of family and friends will be held 2-4pm Friday, October 27, at Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie to celebrate Vivian’s Life.
Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice.
