Born in Canning, NS on the 15 Nov 1924, the family later moved to Estavan, SK where she met her first husband, Dennis Manuell and emigrated to England. In 1957, they returned to Canada to live in Hanover, ON and later in the Windsor, ON area. Violet and her two children moved to Lac du Bonnet, MB in 1967 when she purchased a Restaurant and Service Station. She met, then married her second husband, Peter Friesen in 1970.
Predeceased by her husbands and five siblings, she leaves children, Roy Manuell (Melanie), and Lynda Swain (James) and grandchildren Dennis Manuell, Patricia Manuell (Jamie Hrycuk) and James Swain (Laura) and great grandchildren, Talia (Dennis), Paige and Jace (Patricia).
She enjoyed curling and participated until last season. She loved flowers and plants. She loved to travel in the RV and explore the wonders of North America.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 20 at 3:00 p.m. at the Lac du Bonnet Legion, Lac du Bonnet with viewing one hour prior.
