Vincent Thomas Jewitt
January 27, 1921 – November 17, 2017
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Vincent Jewitt at the age of 96. Vince is reunited with his loving wife, Margaret, who predeceased him in 1970. Beloved father of Laurie (Alan) and Diane (Greg). Loving grandfather to Shana (Rob) and great grandfather to Zara and Cole. Predeceased by loving brother Leo (Marg), Uncle Vince to Karen and Teresa. Vince had a great sense of humour; whatever he set his mind to do, he did, and he was known for his beautiful stained glass work. Vince loved to walk and could be seen around the Amherstview area every day for many years. He also loved to hike and completed The Frontenac Challenge several times. Vince was passionate about animals and for those who wish, donations may be made to the Kingston Humane Society. In keeping with Vince’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service. The family thanks all caregivers who helped make Vince more comfortable over the past few months.
