1944-2017
Victor Harlyn Hamilton, 73, of Welsford, Kings
County, passed away at home on December 9, 2017. Born and raised in
Birchtown, Shelburne County, he was the son of the late Mae and George
Hamilton. He is survived by his daughters, Julie (Jeff) Thorsen,
Hantsport; Kara (Ryan) Logie, Grafton; mother-in-law, Evelyn (Coleman)
Doherty; several siblings; grandchildren, Annika and Kaja Thorsen,
Wyatt and Tristan Logie; several nieces and nephews. He was
predeceased by his wife, Helen (Doherty), and sisters, Violet and
Oneta. Victor was a dedicated employee for the Berwick Bakery, Topline
Ventures, Town of Berwick, Kinsman Construction, Village of Kingston
and Municipality of Kings where he was also a valued co-worker. He was
active in many projects as a trustee of the Berwick Baptist Church.
Victor was a loving husband, father and super Grampie. Victor was a
jack-of-all trades who could fix almost anything. He was a generous
man who was always helping family, friends, neighbors and sometimes
strangers. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. A
Celebration of Life will be held from 6:30-8:30pm on Wednesday,
December 13, 2017 at the Berwick Lions Hall. Private family interment
will take place in the Black Rock Cemetery. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the IWK Health
Centre, or to a charity of choice.
