Vicky Heidinga

Vicki (Wytske) Stienstra Heidinga was born on April 2, 1924 in Middelstum Holland. She worked at the Telegraph in Leeuwarden during WWII. She married the one love of her life, her late husband Marten Heidinga in 1946. They immigrated to Canada in 1953…landing first in Cornwall, Ont. In 1963 they moved to Toronto where Marten was a partner in a contracting firm. Vicki worked in Humber College as a data coding clerk in the registrars office. She was always passing around the Today devotional booklet and
saw several people come to Christ as a result. After her husband’s passing she began a Saturday evening hymn sing in Faith Manor that she kept up faithfully with the help of numerous volunteers and was a blessing to many of the residents for years. She was a resident of Grace Manor in the latter part of her life until 92 years of age. God finally answered her heart’s longing and gathered her home to heaven this past Friday just before midnight.
She will be sadly missed by Annita (Dick) Maat ,Jim (Coby) Heidinga , John (Kay) Heidinga , Henry (Melinda) Heidinga
