Vernon Melvin Griswold passed away on Monday, December 11, 2017 peacefully at the Pasqua Hospital with his loving wife Ethel and family at his side. He is predeceased by his parents Fred and Alma Griswold, brothers George and Alvin and numerous nieces and nephews. He is survived and left to mourn by his wife Ethel; sisters Marjorie Keller and Dorothy (Frank) Simpson; sister-in-law Gwen Winstone and numerous relatives. Vernon was born on April 28, 1930 at home on the farm in the Saltcoats district, he married his wife Ethel on October 9, 1955. The couple had no children but lived a very full life. Vernon joined the Fire Department in 1956…
