Phillips, Vernon Augustine Peacefully in hospital on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the age of 88 years. Beloved husband of Audrey Phillips (nee Dagenais). Dear brother of Mary Shaw, Finnan, and Francis Phillips also predeceased by his eight other siblings. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Vernon was born and raised on a farm in Glengarry County, he retired from working for the public service and returned to farming which was his passion in life. The family will receive friends at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road), on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday, February 25, 2017 Time and place to be announced, followed by interment at Hope Cemetery. Followed by a reception in the reception center of McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home.
