Verna Hannaberry (Jordan), Canadian Airforce Veteran and resident of Mitchell, passed away peacefully with family by her side at St. Marys Memorial Hospital on Nov. 13, 2017 at the age of 94.
Loving wife of the late James Hannaberry (2001). Beloved mother of Robert Powell (deceased, 2013) and his wife Mary, Merceno and her husband Don, Peter and his wife Linda, Anna and her husband Don, Shelley and her husband Doug, and Dan. Loving grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. Daughter of the late Mike and Katherine Jordan. Sister of Leonard (deceased), Tom (deceased) and his wife Helen, Gerry (deceased) and his wife Diane, Mildred (deceased) and her husband Alvin Weber, Clarence (deceased), Joan, Shirley and will be missed by extended family members.
A private family service has taken place with interment in St. Marys Cemetery. Verna will be forever remembered for her unconditional love, her listening ear, her sound advice and a ready cup of tea.
Memorial donations may be made to the St. Marys Memorial Hospital Foundation, VON or the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation.
