1936 – 2017
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Vern Erickson late of Estevan wish to announce his passing on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at the Regina General Hospital at the age of 81 years.
Vern was predeceased by his parents, George and Elsie Erickson; sister Marlene Ivarson; brother-in-law Stuart Lamb and sister-in-law Pat Erickson.
Vern is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Norma (nee Muirhead) and their three children, Michelle Erickson; Brent (Angel) Erickson and their daughter Jasmine (Christian) Kalala , great grandchildren, Aliyah and Alexi and Drew (Farzana) Erickson and their children Aiden and Zara.
Left with fond memories of Vern are his siblings, Ardis Lamb, Arvid (Doreen) Erickson, Orlyn Erickson and brother-in-law Ken Ivarson.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Church of Christ, Estevan, SK with Tim Pippus officiating. A time of lunch and fellowship will follow.
Honourary pallbearers are Vern’s longtime friends, Calvin Elford, Richard Abenlieder, Jeff Jopp, Lawrence Drysdale, Bob Startkey, Richard Sovdi and all others in attendance.
