Obituary of Verla Holtz
HOLTZ, Verla Marilyn – went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 in her 84th year; reunited with her husband of 61 years, Welden, after only 39 days apart.
Verla Holtz (nee Seigel) of Pembroke, loving mother of Cheryl Kilby (Robert); and doting and proud grandmother of Alyssa. Daughter of the late Wesley and Esther Seigel (nee Markus). Predeceased by brother Ken Seigel; brothers-in-law Urban (late Freda), Mahlon (late Stella, late Ella), Wilbert (late Mabel), Newton, Norman, Eldad (late Aileen) and Lester (late Florence, late Doris) Holtz; and sisters-in-law Ida Cotie (late Harper, late Harvey Wagner) and Loella Bartlett (late Roy). Verla is survived by sisters-in-law Lois Seigel and Margaret Holtz; and brother-in-law Carson Holtz (Verena); as well as many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to all the staff at Riverview Heights and the Pembroke Regional Hospital for their care and compassion during her time with them.
Visitation at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Monday, November 20, 2017 from 2 to 4:00 and 7 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Zion Evangelical United Cemetery, Pembroke.
