Entered into rest at Belmont Long Term Care Facility, Belleville on Monday, February 20, 2017 at the age of 91 years.
Velma McBride (nee McLaughlin) formerly of Westmeath, wife of the late Henry “Harry” McBride. Daughter of the late James and Mabel McLaughlin (nee Carmichael). Sister of Earla England (late Keith) and Rev. Kenneth McLaughlin. Mother of Lloyd (Linda), Beachburg; Grace MacLauchlan (Arnold), Belleville; Barbara Barnes (late Wayne), Belleville; Cheryl Plourde (Richard), Fredericton NB; and Gordon (Janelle), Westmeath. Grandmother of 16 grandchildren: Timothy (Paula), Tammy, Stephanie (Shawn), Stephen (Michelle), Stacey (Dexter), Crystal (Derek), Paul, Byron (Lynsey), James (Allyson), Christa (John), Matthew (Annik), Brendan, Kaylee and Billy and a number of great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 7-9:00 p.m. and at the Whitewater Wesleyan Community Church, 42 Cedar Haven Rd., Cobden on Thursday from 12-1 p.m. followed by a service at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Beachburg Union Cemetery.
