1932-2017
GIANNAKOPOULOS,
Vasiliki (Bessie) – It is with great sadness that the family
announces the passing of Vasiliki (Bessie) Giannakopoulos on September
3, 2017 in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Charalampos (Harry)
Giannakopoulos. Loving mother of Athena (Kosta) Economopoulos. Dear
grandmother of Angela and Vasiliki. Dear sister of Dimitroula ( the
late George) Koumoutsidis, Georgia ( the late Panagiotis) Kokkinakos,
and Lily (Chris) Koumoutsidis. Bessie will be missed by many cousins,
nieces, nephews and friends in Greece, Chicago, New York, Toronto,
Montreal and many friends in the London Greek
community.
Friends will be
received at LOGAN FUNERAL HOME, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo and
Colborne) on Thursday, September 7th, from 7-9
p.m. Funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox
Church, 131 Southdale Rd. W. on Friday, September
8th at 1 p.m. with Father Demetre Mouselimis
officiating.
Prayers will be held in
the Logan Chapel on Thursday evening at 8 p.m. Interment Woodland
Cemetery.
As an expression of
sympathy, memorial donations made to Pancreatic Cancer Canada or the
Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. The
family wishes to thank all the staff of the third floor at Extendicare
for their professional care and devoted attention for our mother as
well as for their gentle and respectful kindness to her and to all of
us.
