Ursel (TERRY) Stewart (nee Tix)
February 28th, 1940 (Germany) – July 5th, 2017 (Ottawa, Canada)
It is with deep and heavy sadness that we announce the sudden death of Terry Stewart of Eganville, on July 5th, 2017, in her 78th year.
She is predeceased by her husband John. They had been married for over 50 years. She is also predeceased by her parents Erik and Friedel (Ropke) Tix and her second father, Olaf (Vera) Ropke; by daughters Heather Ann and Kim, and granddaughter Hannah.
She is survived by her three children: Hayley, Michael (BJ) and Todd; three grandchildren: Robert, Mackenzie and Ashlyn; great granddaughter Alexandria; her sister Carla (Peter) and her brother Olaf (Linda), .
She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her nieces Melodie (Greg), Vickie, Samantha; her nephew Shane; her great nieces (Emilie, Keira), and her great nephews (Liam, Eric).
She moved to Eganville in 1989 with her husband John to start up the Hobit Bed and Breakfast on Wellington Street. The Stewarts quickly became very active in the Eganville and surrounding communities, volunteering at the tourist booth, as crossing guards, and helping out with many church and charitable organizations.
For those who ever met Terry, they will never forget her. She was a unique and caring individual that had an amazing way with anyone that crossed her path. She is at peace now and is reunited with her soulmate/ dog, “Frodo” and the many other loved ones who have predeceased her.
