September 18, 1947 – January 23, 2017
Courageously battling cancer for a second time, Colone Teddy Trudgeon suddenly but peacefully passed away at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary Alberta on January 23rd, 2017, at the age of 69.
Colone is lovingly remembered by his wife of 40 years, Cheryle, as well as his daughters, Michelle (James) and Jamie (Zach), and his sister, Penelope. He was predeceased by his sisters, Zandra (Albert), and Patrice, his brother, Bradly (Marianne), Mother, Gem, and Father, Edwin. Many other family members and friends miss him dearly, sharing countless stories of Colone’s true zest for life and unyielding spirit.
Originally from London Ontario, Colone moved to Alberta with Cheryle and were married in Waterton Park in 1976. They resided in Lethbridge for many years, where he was a flying instructor at the Lethbridge Flying Club. They spent their free time outdoors, fishing, canoeing, skiing and camping. In 1985 they moved to their beautiful acreage west of Cochrane, where Colone pursued his passions of woodworking, log building and mechanical work. He was a long time aviation mechanic with Field Aviation, and made many new friends through a renewed affection for motorcycles in recent years. Colone adored his Sunday School students at Cochrane Alliance Church, and was grateful for the support and kinship he found in the men’s group there. No matter the weather, he loved going for walks on Jamieson Road with his family and good buddy, Saska the dog.
Words cannot describe how much he will be missed, but we find comfort knowing that he is no longer in pain and has found peace with the Lord.
A Celebration of Colone’s life will be held at Bow Valley Baptist Church (54 W Aarsby Rd, Cochrane, AB) on Friday February 17th at 2:00, everyone is welcome.
