Obituary of Thomas Cuthbert
CUTHBERT, Thomas “Tom” John – passed away peacefully at Miramichi Lodge on Tuesday, August 15th, 2017 at the age of 81 years.
Tom Cuthbert, of Pembroke and formerly of Chalk River, ex-husband of Judith Munoa. Son of the late Kenneth & Margaret Cuthbert (nee MacDonald). Brother of Elaine Tennant (late Tom), Chalk River; Marjorie Lister (late Len), Milton; Glenn Cuthbert (Jane), Kingston; and Charles Cuthbert, Wetaskiwin AB. Predeceased by brothers William Cuthbert (Nancy), Arnprior and Gordon “Mugs” Cuthbert (survived by Mary Pat, nee Elliot, and her children Ken & Tom Cuthbert, Chalk River). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Tom worked as Postmaster in Chalk River. Tom was also employed at Atomic Energy of Canada Limited – Chalk River. He enjoyed singing in local choirs and concerts, travelling, volunteering in his community, and spoiling his nieces and nephews.
Respecting Tom’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Calvin United Church, 276 Church St, Pembroke, ON at a later date to be announced.
