Thomas James Cowger
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Thomas James Cowger on December 6, 2017 in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 61.
Tom was born to William and Janet Cowger on May 14, 1956 in Spirit River, Alberta. He grew up in Dawson Creek and Edmonton and was the oldest of four children. Tom graduated from NAIT in 1984 as a Journeyman and pursued an extensive career in the powerline industry as a Powerline Technician throughout Alberta and the Northwest Territories.
Tom is survived by his parents William and Janet Cowger; sister LaDawn (Dave), brother Arthur; four children Eric (Kayley), Heather (Jason), Sandy, James (Melissa); his grandchildren Natalie, Daylan and Grayson; and his nieces and nephews. Tom is predeceased by his sister LeeAnn; nephew David; grandparents Florence and Jacob Jacobsen and John and Alma Cowger.
Tom will be deeply missed and always remembered.
We would like to extend a sincere thank you to the generous staff at South Health Campus Hospital in Calgary.
A private memorial will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home.
