Thomas Arthur Tommy Guthrie – 1959-2017

Thomas Arthur “Tommy” Guthrie
1959-2017
With heavy hearts, the family of Tommy Guthrie announce his
passing at Bobby’s Hospice on Tuesday, August 29, 2017. Born
August 6, 1959 in Saint John, he was a son of the late Clifford Merlin
and Margaret Doreen (McCullough) Guthrie.
Growing up, Tommy always had lots of friends around. He loved
music, and played drums and guitar. He enjoyed spending time at
Crystal Beach, boating with his father and uncle and fishing. Above
all, he was an amazing uncle who spoiled his nieces and
nephews.
Tommy will be missed by his brothers and sisters: Donald
“Donnie”, Carl (Cathy), Nancy Watson (Peter),
Michael (Karen), and Connie Dunham (John); aunts, Mary Guthrie and
Jean Brown; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of Bobby’s
Hospice, as well as Eric and Cathy Richard, for their care,
compassion, and friendship shown to Tommy.
Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral
Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425),
with visiting on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 12 to 2 pm. A funeral
service will be held the same day at 2:30 pm in Brenan’s Bay
View Chapel. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. For those
who wish, remembrances to Bobby’s Hospice would be
appreciated by the family.
