Thelma Jean Wilson - December 12

Thelma Jean Wilson – December 12, 1945 – July 29, 2017

In Loving Memory Of
Thelma Jean Wilson
Thelma Jean Wilson, resident of Beaverlodge, formerly of Hanna, AB, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at the QEII Hospital, at the age of 71 years.
Thelma was born in Cereal, AB, on December 12, 1945. She spent a majority of her younger years in Hanna. She worked many years as a telephone operator, then started her full job of raising a family. During this journey, she also looked after the farm, Ken’s business, and worked in the meat department at the Beaverlodge IGA.
Thelma was a very strong, determined and loving woman, especially of her family, with a special spot in her heart for her grandkids. She also had a soft spot of Corgi dogs and Siamese cats.
In the last few years, Thelma spent her time on puzzles and cross stitch. Prior to that, she had amazed us all with her amazing abilities and creativity with painting, quilting, sewing, gardening, and pretty much anything she put her mind to.
She will be sadly missed by her husband Ken Wilson; children: Sandra (Steve) Logan, Tracy Wilson, and Wesley Wilson; grandchildren: Landon and Miya Logan, Ty and Jenna Wilson; as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Thelma was predeceased by her son Kelvin Wilson, dad Norbert (May) Tessier; mother Gertrude Carr, sister Rita Kowitch, niece Kim Kowitch; as well as numerous other loved ones on Ken’s side of the family.
All friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Thelma’s Life, to be held at a later date at The Wilson Farm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Lung Association (Box 4500, Stn South, Edmonton, AB, T6E 6K2).
