Whidden (Pratt), Teresa “Tee” – passed away peacefully in Cumberland Regional Hospital, Amherst, on December 29, 2017, at the age of 59. Teresa was born in Truro, a daughter of the late Stewart and Hazel Pratt.
She grew up in Upper Stewiacke, then moved to Truro where she lived for the majority of her life. For the past 15 years, Teresa had lived in the Springhill area. She was an avid dart player, and was loved by many in the community. She loved her best friends, Mike and Tracy Gerrior, and always loved being the life of the party. She was a devoted Montreal Canadiens fan. She loved to make people laugh, and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are her children, Douglas Lemmon (Janice), Juanita Holmes (Mike), Marsha McClellan, Jennifer Whidden (Carman); grandchildren, Haley, Eric, Nicholas, RJay, Mataya, Landyn and Hollynd; siblings, Judy Crouse (Jimmy), Sharon Lemmon (Robert), Arlene Ellis (Kerry), Louise Cox (Red), Betty Creelman (Stewart), Barry Pratt (Charolotte), Greg Pratt (Debbie). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 11:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m., followed by funeral service at 2 p.m., both in Upper Stewiacke United Church, with Marty Clark-Ettinger officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
