Taylor Estabrooks
1996-2017
With disbelief and shattered hearts we announce the passing
of our beloved Taylor on July 1st, 2017 at the
age of 21.
She will be dearly missed by her mother Krista MacKinnon,
step-father Aaron Wood, step-sister Brooklyne, Grandmother Maxine
MacKinnon, great-uncle Joe MacKinnon, cousin Robert MacKinnon, uncle
Jeremy MacKinnon (Sydney), and the light of her life cousin
Aldrick.
She filled every room with her contagious laugh, befriending
everyone to make sure no one was left out or alone. Her
eyes, the biggest and bluest in the world and held a sparkle that was
truly one of a kind.
She loved music, the beach, camping, going on adventures,
laughing until tears, animals, road trips, the color pink (she would
have painted the entire world fuchsia and bubble gum), her friends,
and her family. She loved life and still had so much of it
ahead of her.
There will not be any visitation or service. The
family thanks everyone for the out pouring of support and love but we
ask to grieve privately. We are trying to make sense of the
senseless.
In lieu of flowers, we ask for you to please donate to
Portage Atlantic in her name at portage.ca and select the Atlantic
region. This life saving, life changing facility gave us our
Taylor back. She recently completed her program and was so
proud of her success and progress made. She had a slip after
many months of sobriety and that is all it took for our light to be
taken.
No words can ever express the deep love she had for the staff
and other residents at Portage. Rachel, Amber, Tim, Amanda, Doris,
Carla, Mo, Randy, Luc, Tambrie, Katrina, Tawnni, Kimmie, Nicole, and
all the rest of the entire staff. We love you and thank you
for all the love and support you gave our girl and us. You
truly are earth angels and will forever hold a special place in our
hearts.
