T. Patrick O’Neil – 1980-2017

T. Patrick O’Neil
1980-2017
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces
the unexpected passing of T. Patrick O’Neil on Friday, April 14
2017. Patrick was born on December 23, 1980 in Saint John. He spent
his childhood summers in St. Andrews and graduated from NBCC in St.
Andrews’ Aquaculture Technician Program in 2004. Patrick loved
being outdoors, and worked in landscaping and construction.
Patrick was a true friend to many. He lived life to the fullest and
had a great many passions, including motorcycles, fast cars, and being
on or near the water. Patrick always worked hard, and tried to be
there for those who needed him. Known to many friends as Paddy, he was
a kind, generous, and loyal person who loved his family. Patrick also
loved St. Andrews and will be laid to rest at the Catholic Cemetery
there at a later date.
Patrick is survived by his parents, Thomas and Dianne O’Neil;
his brother, Conor O’Neil (Kailey); his girlfriend, Amber
McGrath; his daughters, Rylee and Chloe; and his grandmother, Emma
Reid.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fitzpatrick’s
Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., Saint John, NB (634-1965). Everyone is
invited to a celebration of Patrick O’Neil’s life at Our
Lady of the Assumption, 360 Dufferin Row, Saint John on Wednesday,
April 19th at 2 pm. There will be no visitation at the funeral home,
but there will be a reception after the service at the nearby
Assumption Centre where fond memories of Patrick can be shared. In
Patrick’s memory, donations may be made in lieu of flowers to
the charity of the donor’s choosing.
