Steve Martyn, of Mount Forest, passed away after a brief illness at the Louise Marshall Hospital, Mount Forest on Sunday, November 26th, 2017 in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Marian Irene (Milligan nee Patterson) for 25 years and the late Stella Antonison. Cherished second father of Paul Milligan and his wife Kendra of Mount Forest and the late Beth Ann Milligan. Dear brother of Gladys Dubinsky of Alberta, the late Bessie Saminuk, the late Gloria Joyce and the late Walter Martyn. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Travis Rawlings and his friend Nicole Watson, Matthew Rawlings, Patrick Rawlings all of Owen Sound, Garrett Hopkins of Durham, Kayley and her husband Ryan Murray of Mount Forest and Shelby Hopkins and her friend Dustin Bell of Owen Sound. Special joy to his great-grandchildren Elena Rawlings, Liam Shaw-Hopkins and Brinley Murray. Fondly remembered by his godchildren and his many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Steve’s life will be held at the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest on Friday, December 1st at 12:30 p.m., with visitation prior to the service from 11:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Interment of cremated remains will be held at a later date at Parklawn Cemetery, Cambridge. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Alzheimer Society, Mount Forest Food Bank or the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Thank you to the Saugeen Valley Nursing Centre, Louise Marshall Hospital and the Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Service for their excellent care and compassion for Steve.
