We are deeply saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Steve Czuy, at the age of 87 in Edmonton, Alberta. Steve was predeceased by his wife Pauline Ruth (Miller) and will always be loved and remembered by his sons Derek and Ron (Mary MacGregor); his grandchildren, Kelly (Leanne Wedderin), Kimberly and Bailey; his great-grandchildren Summer, Rilynn and Parker; brother John (Beenie Adair) of Cochrane, Alberta; sister Mary (Peter Olynyk) of Salmon Arm, B.C.; sister-in-law Elsie (Pawliw) Czuy of Red Deer, Alberta; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews. Steve was predeceased by brothers Ralph, Peter and William ‘Bill’ Czuy.
The Czuy family also extend sincere gratitude to devoted caregiver, Fe Nocete, whose love and companionship to Steve was immeasurable. Fe was like a daughter to Steve.
Steve had a fulfilling career at CN Rail for 36 years within the Signals and Communications Department. Steve also played an integral role in the development and foundation of the Alberta Society for the Visually Impaired (ASVI) which was formed in 1971.
