Passed away at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 in her 94th year.
Stella Lynn of Pembroke, beloved wife of the late Thomas Norbert Lynn. Cherished mother of Timothy Lynn (Diana), Oshawa, Katherine Gerundin (Bert Bechamp), Pembroke and Sheila Moeller, Pembroke. Loving grandmother of Darren Lynn (Samantha), Milton, Ryan Lynn, Oshawa, Brandon Lynn (Jennifer), Ajax, Dillon Gerundin (Kara), Pembroke, Sadie Jamieson (Paddy), Beachburg and Robert Moeller, Petawawa. Great-grandmother of Parker and Carter Lynn; Max, Drew and Sam Gerundin; Piper Jamieson; Hudson, Riley, Everett and Aurora Lynn. Predeceased by parents William and Lydia Stahlkie (nee Krueger); brothers Ellard (late Margaret), and Orville (late Winnifred) and sister, Vera Hoffman (late Arnold). She is survived by her sister Martha McKibbon (Mervin) and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Stella worked for 30 years as a Ward Clerk in the O.R. at the Pembroke General Hospital. She was an avid craftswoman and lovingly created many items over her lifetime for family and friends. She loved dancing and having fun and lived graciously for many years with macular degeneration and skin cancer. We are very grateful for the kindness and compassion shown over the years to Mom by the staff of Pinewood Retirement Residence and the Ottawa Hospital Photoderm Therapy Unit.
Visitation to take place at the Malcolm, Deavitt and Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place at The Most Holy Name of Jesus Church on Friday at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Columbas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial donation may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society’s Volunteer Driver Program, Holy Name of Jesus Church Restoration Fund or to a charity of your choice.
