It is with great sadness that the family of
the late STANLEY SYMES of
Fortune Bank announce his passing at the Dr. S. Beckley
Health Care Centre in Grand Bank, on Thursday, December
14th , 2017 at the age of
87. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are Wife,
Miriam of 65 years; Son: Stanley Symes (Shelley) of Fortune;
Daughters: Mildred Parsons (Patrick) of Fortune, Eileen
Strickland (Howard) of Point May, and Linda Dinn (Craig) of Fortune;
Brother: Arthur Symes (Elizabeth) of Fortune; 7
Grandchildren : Cynthia Slaney, Theresa Strickland, Paddy Parsons,
Derick Parsons, Bradley Symes, Mackenzie Dinn, and Carter
Dinn; 8 Great-Grandchildren: Christina Pye, Jonah Slaney,
Bre-ann Thorkelson, Kelsey Banfield, Logan Thorkelson, Bridget Symes,
Callie Symes, Oaklynn Symes. Predeceased by Father: George
Symes; Mother: Elizabeth Warren; Beloved Grandson: Matthew Symes;
Brothers: Nicholas Symes and Reg Symes; Sister: Phyllis
Prosser.
Resting and visitation will take
place from All Saints Anglican Church Chapel in Fortune on Friday,
December 15th from 7 p.m. –
9 p.m. and Saturday, December 16th
from 1 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral to take place from
All Saints Anglican Church in Fortune on Sunday, December
17th , at 2 p.m.
Interment to follow at All Saints Anglican Cemetery in
Fortune. In Stanley’s memory donations may be made
to the All Saints Anglican Church – Cemetery Fund or flowers
gratefully accepted.
