Obituary of Sidney Pass
PASS, SIDNEY JAMES
Peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital, on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 in his 92nd year, Sidney James Pass, beloved husband of Harriet Pass (nee Child) and predeceased by his first wife Beverly June Pass (nee Casey). Loving father of Eric Pass (Jan) and stepfather of Dana Child (Michelle) and Laura Selinger (Bruce). Predeceased by dear brothers Edward Pass, Eric Pass, Christopher Tenpenny and sisters Nancy Brown and Jessie Walton. Loving grandfather of Kristin Pass (Keith) and Sarah Pass-Martin (Stuart). Step-grandfather of Casandra Donovan (Mike), Alicia Cleaves (Ryan), Stephan Selinger (Jamie), and Katarina Selinger (Aaron). Fondly remembered and sadly missed by six great-grandchildren and many special nieces and nephews. Also lovingly remembered by Pat Pass, the Bill Gilmour family, the Jim Mikolos family and the Bert Beney family. Sid was a highly respected person in the Farm Manufacturing Industry. He was a Plant Manager of Massey Ferguson Combine Plant and retired as Vice President of Manufacturing for White Farm Equipment. Sid served with the “1st Canadian Paratroop Battalion” and received decorations from the French and Netherland governments. He was a member of Heritage United Church, Royal Canadian Legion – Dunsdon Branch #461, Brant Lodge #45 (former Doric Lodge Member), Grand River Kiwanis Club and St. James Euchre Club. Special thanks to the staff at the Brantford General Hospital for their excellent care and compassion as well as a heartfelt appreciation to so many wonderful friends. Friends and family will be received to pay their respects at the McCLEISTER FUNERAL HOME, 495 Park Road North, Brantford on Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Funeral Service in the Chapel on Monday, December 18 at 1:00 pm. Private Interment at Farringdon Burial Ground. If wished, memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
