The death of Shirley Mae
Trenholm, 89, of Dorchester, occurred on Saturday,
December 16, 2017 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in
Riverside, Albert Co., NB, Shirley was the daughter of the late
William and Caroline (Dickson) Hanlon.
She was employed as the Office
Administrator for the Village of Dorchester at the time of her
retirement. Shirley was an avid reader. She loved animals, gardening
and enjoyed puzzles and cross- stitch. She enjoyed spending time at
her cottage at the beach in the summer months during the earlier years
of her life.
She will be sadly missed by her
children, Kim Webster, Stratford, PE, Kevin Webster, Colpitts
Settlement, NB, and Carolyn (Michael Smith) Webster, Amherst, NS; a
granddaughter, Savanah Smith, Amherst; a brother, Lloyd Hanlon,
Hillsborough, NB, and two nephews, Tim Hanlon of Pennfield, NB and
Dwayne Hanlon of Saint John, NB.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased
by her husband, Chester Trenholm; her brothers, Harry, Donald and
David Hanlon.
Arrangements are under the care and
guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge
Street, Sackville (506-364-1300). Honouring Shirley’s wishes
there is to be no visitation or funeral
service.
Donations in memory of Shirley may be
made to the Canadian Kidney Foundation, The Moncton SPCA, Sackville
Memorial Hospital Foundation or a charity of the donor’s
choice.
