On August 8, 2017, Sherry Colleen Nichols of Mayerthorpe, AB, formerly of Chetwynd, BC, passed away at the age of 59 years.
Sherry leaves to cherish her memory, her family, daughter, Kim (David) Mosher and their children, Leona, Sara and Jessica; daughter, Karen (Erik) Davis/de Bruin and their children, Taylor, Scott, Abby, Lizzie, Dusty, Cassie, Scarlett, Quinn and Leo; son, Dick (Jacki) Bremner and their children, Levi, Eva and Briar; her beloved dog, Nellie; sister-in-law, Tannia Nichols and her family of Chetwynd, BC; and many more dear relatives and friends. Predeceased by her parents, Tom and Carroll Nichols; brother, Randy Nichols; and son-in-law, Cody Davis.
Thank you to the staff of the Mayerthorpe Healthcare Centre for the wonderful care shown to Sherry and the family.
Sherry’s greatest joy in life came from surrounding herself with her children and grandchildren. Sherry will be remembered for her ability to do anything she put her mind to, whether running a cat, shooting and skinning deer, crafting or cooking. Sherry had a lifelong passion for sewing which included tailoring, alterations and quilting.
A Celebration of Sherry’s Life will be held Sunday, August 13 at 4:00 p.m. at Sherry’s home in Mayerthorpe.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 26 at 1:00 p.m. in Chetwynd, BC, with inurnment in Tuscoola Mountain Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the Mayerthorpe Hospital Auxiliary Association – Palliative Care, Box 582, Mayerthorpe, AB T0E 1N0.
