Sheila Marie Currie
Sheila M. Currie, 74, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at
The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, October 25, 2017. Born in Sydney,
NS, she was the daughter of the late David and Dorothy (Goldie)
Bellfontaine.
Sheila worked as a Hotel Manager. A loving wife, mother and
grandmother, she enjoyed bowling, her swimming group at the YMCA,
volunteering with St. John Ambulance, the “coffee
club” at the Mall and travelling the world with her beloved
husband, Geordie.
Sheila will be sadly missed by her husband of 34 years,
Geordie MacDonald; sons, David Currie (Donna) and Shawn Currie
(Connie); grandchildren, Warren, Grant, Danja and Natasha; brother,
Leo Bellfontaine (Lilian); aunt, Virginia Bellfontaine; cousin,
Kathleen Campbell and several nieces, nephews and extended family
members.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her
brothers, James and Francis.
A Funeral Mass to celebrate and honour Sheila’s
life will be held at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church,
340 Dominion St., on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 12:00 noon with Rev.
Allison Carroll officiating. Refreshments in the Parish Hall following
Mass.
Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton
(858-1995) in care of arrangements.
Interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. In memory
of Sheila, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be
