Sharon Smith

It is with heavy hearts the family
announces the passing of Sharon Smith, loving wife, mother,
grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, on Sunday, February 12th, 2017,
at Chaleur Regional Hospital at the age of
62.
Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter
of the late Albert and Eleanor (Doucet) Melanson.
Sharon
loved life and lived it to the fullest. She loved to cook for her
family and friends and enjoyed her job as Cafeteria
Supervisor at Terry Fox Elementary School. Her greatest joy in live
were her grandsons who will miss her tremendously.
She is survived by her husband Gary of
42 years; daughter Kayla (Rene Vienneau) of Bathurst; two
grandchildren: Cameron and Samuel her pride and joys and her loving
dog Marsha.
Three sisters: Donna White (Bruce) of
Big River, Brenda Payne (Rick) of Little River, Joyce Matheson (Alex)
of Kitchener, ON and nieces and
nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday,
February 16th, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at
Elhatton’s Funeral Home, St. George Street, Bathurst (www.elhatton.com).
Funeral mass will be celebrated
on Friday afternoon, February 17, 2017 at 2 pm from Sacred
Heart Cathedral, St-Andrew Street,
Bathurst.
Donations in memory of Sharon can be
made to the Canadian Liver
Foundation.
The Family wishes to express their
gratitude to Dr. N. Memiche, Dr. D. Godin and Nurses and
staff at the Chaleur Regional Hospital for the excellent
care she
received.
