Obituary of Seymour Carty
Carty, Seymour Elsworth – 83, Moschelle, Annapolis County. It is with great sadness the family of Seymour Elsworth Carty announce he passed away peacefully on December 18, 2017, in the Annapolis Community Health Centre, Annapolis Royal. Born in Mink Cove, Digby County, he was the second eldest of seven children, born to the late Amelia (O’Neil) and Elsworth Carty. He is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy (Dargie); four children, David (Cathy) Carty, Moschelle; Freda Ann (Larry) Cress, Moschelle; Allen Dean (Angela) Carty, Alberta and Marilyn Carty, Moschelle. Seymour also leaves behind four granddaughters, Theresa, Carrie, Emily and Keshia; great grandson, Brady; great granddaughters, Lexy and Cheavelle; siblings, Ronald Carty, Berwick; Louise Lewis, Digby; Elaine Belliveau Philips, Alberta; Lorne (Sharon) Carty, Prescott, Ontario; Alvin (Debbie) Centreville, Digby; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Lisa May; brother, Hilburn “Scott” Carty. Seymour loved spending time playing his guitar, fiddle and singing; he enjoyed planting his garden and working in the woods. For many years Seymour worked at United Elastic, Centrelea. Visitation will be held 7-9 pm Thursday, December 21, in the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. A private family funeral will be held with Rev. Juanita Barteaux. Burial will take place in Harris Cemetery, Moschelle. Donations in memory may be sent to the Annapolis West Health Foundation c/o Annapolis Community Health Centre, Annapolis Royal.
